Goodnight Yoga Nidra is back to support you in your Wintering with sleep expert and Ireland’s leading Yoga Nidra teacher trainer: Emma Rose Lowe.

Our bodies need more rest for our optimal health and wellbeing and we particularly need more nurture through the long Winter months.

What is Yoga Nidra? ::: Yogic Sleep 

The ancient tantric meditation practice of Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation technique and mind-body therapy that is supported in its many benefits by modern neuroscience. 

Yoga Nidra is a full body guided meditation practice that is utilised in yoga to help boost energy levels, enhance creativity and give the mind a chance to rest and rejuvenate. Studies have shown the practice combats exhaustion, stress, disease and trauma as as well as deepening your intuition, creative power and psychic abilities.

FAQs:::

Will calls be recorded if I can’t attend live?

Yes. Calls will be recorded and sent out within 24 hours of the live call, if you are not able to join live and so you can practice as many times as you like.

This series consists of 7 live zoom calls to help keep you accountable to practice as well as recordings + audio recordings of 8 brand new yoga nidra practices.

Please note there will be no live calls on Christmas or New Years Eve but you will receive a prerecorded new practice in that in-between time.

Can I use the recordings at anytime of the day?

Yes you can use these sessions like a regular yoga nidra practice at any time of day, however, they are designed to take you into deep sleep so please ensure to ground yourself if using them at different times of the day.

I’m a complete beginner / I struggle to meditate, will I be able to do this?

Yoga Nidra is incredibly effective for those completely new to meditation, or who struggle with formal meditation as well as for seasoned practitioners. There is no experience required for you to access and benefit from this practice.

Will this help with sleep issues/ insomnia etc?

Yes, with regular practice Yoga Nidra can support you to combat all forms of sleep related issues. The practice trains the body to relax so that sleep comes more easily. The practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest response), promoting a state of deep relaxation and helping with stress and anxiety which are common causes of insomnia and sleep issues.

The goodnight yoga nidra series has been wonderful. I had never done yoga or meditation and I was really impressed with how quickly I felt the benefits of yoga nidra, even after just the first session. Over the 8 weeks I’ve noticed a real shift in how much sleep, especially deep sleep i’m getting to the point where for the first time since having children (15+ years ago) I’m sleeping through the night. I know this may sound a bit strange but I also feel like a nicer person from doing this course because I’ve found myself less snappy, more patient and calm with everyone too. Really great, i’m looking forward to the next one.
