Cacao Ceremony
With Emma Rose Lowe
Come and experience a centuries-old ritual and the ultimate heart-opening experience of Cacao in one of Ireland’s original and leading Cacao Ceremonies.
Cacao is a plant medicine that has been used for thousands of years for spiritual, medicinal and ceremonial purposes. It supports inner healing, awakening and connection to creative guidance and intuition.
Cacao is a superfood and is packed full of vitamins and minerals, supports the cardiovascular system and is a natural antioxidant and antidepressant.
Emma’s cacao ceremonies allow you to remember the wisdom of your own heart and the healing power of community. Cacao enables you to hear your true self, work through blockages and past traumas, dissolve pent up “negative” energy, and help you align with who you truly are.
Whoever you are, you are welcome to join, just as you are. There is no previous experience required. All you have to do is show up with openness (and a cup to drink from).

Bealtaine Cacao & Hawthorn Ceremony
Friday 9th May 730 - 930pm.
Join us for an evening of enchantment and magic through storytelling, ritual, meditation, music, community connection and heart opening cacao.
Held at the astrological date of Bealtaine in the Celtic calendar.
Expand with rituals of renewal and heart opening cacao as you engage in the ancient wisdom and stories of this important Celtic festival.
Bealtaine is an ancient fire festival that marks the threshold between the dark and light half off the year and is one of the most important dates in the Celtic Calendar with some seriously potent, activating and magical energy.
Come honour your ancestors and learn the old myths and wisdom teachings as we enter the light 1/2 of the year. Engage in ancient rituals of protection, cleansing and purification to release your burdens of this closing cycle and burn them away in the fire as we gentle invite our hearts to open with Cacao and native Hawthorn. This ceremony will support you to encourage growth and awaken your own inner fire. Learn to work with your healthy inner masculine energy to support your dreams and desires. We will finish the evening with kindred community, chats and delicious home made seasonal snacks around the sacred fire.
This is one of the most powerful day in the whole Celtic Calendar and the most opportune time to gather with like minded community. To honour and reclaim our ancestral medicines, in this ceremony our cacao will be infused with Hawthorn essence, which is Ireland’s native heart medicine.
Why work with Huath/Hawthorn?
Like cacao, Hawthorn is a powerful heart medicine. And it’s white flowers come into blossoms at this time of year.
It is an incredibly powerful plant ally that has been used in Ireland for thousands of years as a herbal remedy to improve cardiovascular health and lower blood pressure. The Hawthorn essence has been made and tended by me with the lunar cycle since Bealtaine last year.
Hawthorn can be used to soften the harden clay around the heart, heal inner dissonance, grief, sadness and heartbreak or simply to invite the heart - womb connection to open more as we move into the season of expansion within the wider cycles of the natural world now.
Hawthorn is one of sacred Celtic Trees.
In Celtic Mythology the Hawthorn is the doorway into the mystical realm of the Fae so we will work with our ancestral lineage
This ceremony is designed to hold you through the transition into Summer. Engage in ancient rituals of protection, cleansing and purification as we encourage growth and awaken our inner fire and learn to work with your healthy inner masculine energy to support the divine feminine as we welcome the return of the light half of the year.
You will learn the myths and traditions that underpin these ancients celebrations, honouring the ancient wisdom and how it can deepen and enrich your life today.
We will work with native herbs and fire cleansing rituals and of course open our hearts with delicious ceremonial grade Cacao and meditation. Finishing the evening with kindred community, chats and traditional seasonal snacks around the fire.

What is Cacao and why do we drink it?
Cacao is essentially chocolate in its rawest and purest form but with even more magic than your average chocolately fix. It is produced from the seed of the Theobroma Cacao tree. Cacao is fermented and cold pressed into a paste which allows it to keep its super potent properties and active ingredients that provide spiritual and emotional healing.
Cacao has has many proven health benefits including:
Natural antidepressant
Natural antioxidant
Reduces blood pressure
Improves cardiovascular health
Reduces stress
Promotes the production of beneficial neurotransmitters such as the happy hormone serotonin and the bliss molecule anandamide.
Improve cognitive performance
Enhances creativity
Improves stress management, mood and wellbeing
Emma only sources only the finest quality, ethically sourced Ceremonial grade Cacao. It is 100% artisan which means it has been hand harvested, picked and selected from heirloom trees of wild heritage. This ensures there is no over harvesting or damage to the trees, and that the local, indigenous communities are well paid for their crops. As it is prepared, the Cacao is infused ritualistically with blessings and top secret (all vegan!) ingredients for a spectacular taste and the ultimate full body-mind-spirit nourishment.

What is a Cacao Ceremony?
Cacao ceremonies have been around for thousands of years, dating back to the Mayan and Aztec traditions in Central and South America who used cacao in rituals for its spiritual and energetic healing properties and as a heart medicine.
In the ancient mythologies of these people, cacao was often said to be gifted from the heavens to the people and is known as ‘the food of the gods’.
In Emma’s cacao ceremonies you will sit in a circle with others either by candlelight or bonfire (depending on the seasons and the weather!) and be held with music, meditation and wisdom teachings. You will drink a cup of the most delicious cacao for the purpose of reflection, gaining clarity, intention setting and doing inner healing.
Emma is one of the most experienced Cacao facilitators in Ireland and her offerings are truly unique, sharing original medicine songs, ancestral music and mantra. Every Cacao Ceremony is different as they are guided by Emma’s depth of understanding of the cosmic alignments and cycles and rhythms of nature nature.
These healing ceremonies work with rebalancing energies in the body to regain holistic health. Unlike other shamanic experiences, drinking cacao will not make you hallucinate or give you an ‘out-of-body’ psychedelic experience. Cacao gently brings you back into your body and touches your heart.
It is a fun, uplifting experience in a safe and open community.
