Bealtaine Fire Festival
A Celtic Gathering of Fire : Feasting & Folk Lore
Sunday 5th May : 1 - 5pm
The ancient Celtic Fire Festival of Bealtaine marks the midway point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. It translates as “bright or goodly fire” and celebrates the arrival of summer and the light half of the year.
Starting at moonrise on May eve it is traditional to light the Bealtaine fire to recall the growing power of the sun and cleanse us from the dark months spent indoors. These fires would once have been lit all across Ireland and it is time now to tend to the fires once more of our ancestral wisdom and traditions.
This beautiful gathering will allow us to come together in kindred community, just like our ancestors did and light the internal flame of purification within our hearts with a 1/2 day retreat of fun, festivities, fire, feasting and folklore.
A tree will be planted per person via TreeSisters & a % of proceeds will go towards CHOOSE LOVE to support those fleeing war and climate change.
