- Set your intention into the wand before each use.
- Be careful not to drop the wand, while it’s reinforced glass and highly durable, with force or hard surface impact it will break. If dropped, please check for breaks and chips before reusing.

- Regularly energetically cleanse your wand. You can do this under the Full Moon, in the ocean, using ethically sourced smoke cleanse.
Using your wand:
- Set the room and the mood, create space for yourself and your self pleasure practice.
- Set your internal space, calling in an intention before each use. You could meditatively bring the piece to your heart or belly and infuse your intention into it.
- Your intention can be as simple as cultivating connection to your body, self love, slowing down, breathing, being present, connecting to desire, pleasure, compassion, abundance, forgiveness, self worth. Whatever you are seeking for yourself or your relationships you can bring into your practice with intention.
- If you need to use lubricant, use a natural, body safe oil such as coconut or almond (regular lube or saliva is just fine too).
- You can use the wand like a regular toy however, the very nature of these wands invite you to slow down and feel more deeply.
- If carrying out a de-armouing practice, take time to connect to and massage your whole body, before asking permission to massage your genitals or using the wand internally. Understanding your bodies yes and consent is really important.
- You may like to slowly move the wand in and out using a meditation, breathing in what you would like to cultivate more of and exhaling all you are letting go and using the wand to gently explore and massage your whole internal space. Be present with sensations and feelings that arise. You can book an additional self Yoni mapping session with Emma.
- You can also hold the wand inside and breathe long and deep whilst contracting and releasing your pelvic floor muscles.
Disclaimer: If you experience pain during sex/penetration, we recommended that before investing in/using a pleasure wand/yoni egg, you see a gynaecologist or pelvic floor specialist.

+ Product: Essential Nature Menstrual Cup
You’ve just changed the world a little bit and sent a love note to your body that you are worthy of self care.
Our sustainability mission means meeting our self care and pleasure needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. All of our products are non toxic and natural, supporting a range of fair trade, ethical social and environmental organisations.
This purchase helps to end period poverty and provides reproductive and menstrual health education for those who otherwise can't access it via Bloody Good Period and you are also supporting global reforestation via Amazon watch with a tree being planted for you via TreeSisters.

INSTRUCTIONS AND CARE GUIDANCE
Before using your Essential Nature Menstrual Cup for the first time you should sanitise the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Don’t let the cup touch the bottom of the pot.
When you insert your menstrual cup:
Wash your hands using clean water and a mild soap before handling the cup for use.
Find a comfortable position and relax: It’s important to relax your muscles when inserting your menstrual cup. You can squat or sit on the toilet.
You may use a small amount of natural, body safe lubricant to make insertion easier.
Fold (for folding techniques see below) insert and release: Insert the folded menstrual cup and once the entire cup is inside of you, remove your fingers and let it open up.
If the menstrual cup has been inserted correctly, you might hear a “pop” or feel a slight suction which means that the cup has unfolded and created the necessary seal.
To check, use your fingers to feel around the base of the cup – it should feel round or oval and not have any noticeable folds or dents. If you feel any dents or folds on the base of your menstrual cup and you’re not sure the suction seal has been created, then gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and rotate it to make it unfold or run your fingers around the cup's rim.
Once your menstrual cup is in place, gently pull the stem a little, if you feel resistance, the suction seal has been created and the cup has been inserted correctly.
The stem should be completely inside of you.
How long can I wear it for? You can wear a menstrual cup for 6 to 12 hours, depending on whether or not you have a heavy flow. This means you can use a cup for overnight protection. You must always remove your menstrual cup by the 12-hour mark.
When removing your menstrual cup: Wash your hands using clean water and a mild soap before handling the cup.
Relax your pelvic floor muscles. Do not try and bare down internally to bring the cup lower down. Contracting/squeezing the pelvic floors lifts the cup higher.
Find a comfortable position that works for you: squat, sit on the toilet. Being relaxed is essential, as removing your menstrual cup will be more difficult if you tense up.
Remove: When removing your menstrual cup, pull slightly on the stem until you can reach the base. Give the base of the cup a gentle squeeze or insert your index finger alongside it, to release the suction seal and ease it out.
Do not try and just pull the cup out by pulling the stem. Releasing the suction is especially important if you use an IUD or have a history of uterine prolapse.
Empty and wash: Once you have removed your menstrual cup, empty the collected flow into the toilet or sink or give it to a plant (they love the nutrients!) then rinse the cup with water (remember the air holes) and re-insert.
Re-insert or store: When your menstrual cup is clean, re-insert it as outlined above. If your period has ended: Boil the cup for 3-5 minutes in water or wash thoroughly with mild soap and store your cup in the cotton pouch.
How to use? If you’re new to menstrual cups, it may take a little practice to get it right so that the cup pops open, feels comfortable and doesn’t leak.
The way you fold your period cup to insert it can affect how it feels and sits inside your vagina. You may find certain folds easier than others. A little play and patience will be your friend.
**Menstrual cup folding techniques:
#1: The C fold** The C fold is the most common fold and often a favourite. You can do it with one hand and it takes no time. It does however result in a larger point of insertion than the folds discussed below. Start with the cup pinched flat and then fold it in half so that it makes a “C” or “U” shape.
#2: The 7 fold Use both of your hands to pinch the rim of your cup flat. Then, take one side and fold it diagonally towards the base of the cup so the rim looks like a 7. This cup creates a fairly small point of insertion and also gives you more control over when you want the cup to pop open.
#3. The Punch down: Start by holding the body of your cup in one hand. With your free hand, place your finger on the rim of the cup, then push it down and pinch it to hold the position. This fold might be the most comfortable because it has a small insertion point, great for beginners. It also tends to work well with softer cups.
Legal Disclaimer: If you have or are experiencing any gynaecological problems please discontinue using your cup and consult a gynaecologist. If you are experiencing any pain or discomfort while wearing your cup, discontinue use and consult your gynecologist.
