Weekly Yoga Classes at Mother of the Woods Retreat, Co Down

Guided by Senior Yoga Teacher,Yoga Alliance Continuing Education provider and Yoga Nidra expert Emma Rose Lowe

The Hayloft Studio at Mother of the Woods Retreat is a centre for yoga, meditation and wellbeing.

We are a yoga studio set out in the heart of nature to support you to connect back home to yourself and your own essential nature. Our spacious, scandi feel studio is nestled on 3 acres of beautiful wild meadows and orchards on the grounds of a charming old Georgian farm in the rolling hills of Co Down.

Our weekly slow flow and dynamic yoga classes and expert led workshops are suitable for all levels, bodies types, mobilities and sizes, whether you are completely new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, we have a yoga class for you.

With a trauma-informed and embodied approached to practice, at Mother of the Woods, we believe yoga should be about how it feels, (and how good it makes you feel afterwards), rather than how it looks, so in our studio there are no mirrors, no judgement, no pretence.

If you’re looking for a Saintfield yoga class, a Carryduff yoga class, a Ballynahich yoga class or a Lisburn Yoga Class, we have you covered and we’re only an 8 minute drive from the M1 and 20 minutes from Belfast City centre too!

WEEKLY YOGA CLASSES:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays @ 7pm

Sign up via the links below for the next block of classes: starting Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th January.

Arrive from 7pm and indulge in a cup of herbal tea foraged from the farm and settle in for a gentle and nurturing yoga practice followed by a deeply nourishing Yoga Nidra meditation. (Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep” is a specific style of meditation where you lie down and are guided through a full body relaxation process. The practice is proven to support trauma, anxiety, depression, weightloss, hormone balancing and sleep issues and our teacher Emma Rose Lowe is Northern Ireland’s leading expert and teacher trainer in this type of meditation).

These classes are not just good for your body, but good for your relationship with your body, mind and emotions.

Community connection is at the heart of our ethos, so the final class of each 4 week block is always an extended Yoga Social (or “Cake Night” as its become know) with more tea, a homemade delicious bake and chats around the bonfire!

Join the January Yoga Classes:
